The Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) is an initiative under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in rural areas. SVEP provides comprehensive support to rural entrepreneurs through various components and initiatives, all falling under its umbrella. Objective:  To support rural entrepreneurs in establishing and growing sustainable enterprises, thereby creating job opportunities and fostering economic development in rural areas.

Key Components under the SVEP Umbrella
 

1. Capacity Building and Training:

   • Entrepreneurship Development: Training programs designed to build entrepreneurial skills, covering areas such as business planning, financial management, marketing, and customer service.

   • Skill Development: Providing technical and vocational training to enhance the skills of potential and existing entrepreneurs.
      

2. Financial Support:

   • Seed Capital: Providing initial funding to entrepreneurs to help them start their businesses.

   • Credit Linkage: Facilitating access to loans and credit from banks and financial institutions.
      

3. Enterprise Support Services:

   • One Stop Facility (OSF): Offering a centralized support system for entrepreneurs, including business counseling, financial services, market linkages, regulatory support, and infrastructure access.

4. Market Access and Linkages:

   • Performance Tracking: Implementing mechanisms to monitor the progress and performance of enterprises supported under SVEP.
